Fostering Your Child’s Development

At Dolphins Child Care Centre, we operate three preschool groups for children between 3-5 years old in Tuncurry. Each room is limited to a smaller group size which enables us to provide appropriate attention to each child’s development. During a typical day, children will be immersed in activities based around music and movement, science time, shared reading and play-based learning. Sharks Room (3yrs)

The Sharks Room is packed full of creative play, encouraging children to engage, explore and let their imaginations run wild. Our sensory areas are a firm favourite, as children learn to get to grips with their fine motor skills. This includes the free choice shelf where puzzles and books encourage development of their creative mind. When it all gets too much, there’s plenty of room to have an afternoon nap!

We recommend you bring your child for a visit and play at dolphins. We have an open door policy, so you are welcome to come back as many times as you need prior to starting care. When leaving your child on the first morning, it is best to say a quick good-bye and a give a kiss then head off on your day. Lingering makes your child feel you are not confident leaving them with their educators.
